If there is a contraflow in effect- your direction will be decided by the
road you are travelling.  I am not sure that a Tropical Storm will trigger a
contraflow situation, though.

In trying to form an evacuation plan for this season, and realizing we will
probably evacuate more frequently I was thinking of trying the Alexandria
area for something like a tropical storm.
 
Which way would you go in the contraflow?  Do you go I-10 West and then to
I-49?  I've never driven that way before, we've always gone North to
Meridian.  However, if it's a T.S. I don't want to go that far. And, I don't
do that thing of making multiple reservations and wait to see which way the
storm is heading.  I think that's not playing cricket.
