Governor's Office, Points of Light Foundation launch volunteer Web site 

BATON ROUGE, LA- Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco welcomes Bill Bentley, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the Points of Light Foundation to Baton Rouge Wednesday as the state launches, with the foundation's support, VolunteerLouisiana.gov The web portal--VolunteerLouisiana.gov--is a place where volunteers interested in helping in Louisiana's recovery can register and be connected with a variety of opportunities throughout the state with emphasis on the southern coast. 

VolunteerLouisiana.gov was created in partnership with the Points of Light Foundation, Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu, the Louisiana Board of Regents, and the Louisiana Association of Volunteer Center Directors.
