HUD and State Representative Nita Hutter would like to extend an invitation
to St. Bernard Parish citizens to participate in "Your Door to
Homeownership".  The event will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006, 9:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in a tent at the Wal-Mart parking lot at 8101 W. Judge
Perez Drive, Chalmette, LA, adjacent to the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center.
There will be exhibit tables and a seating area where a rotating schedule of
short workshops and demonstrations will be held throughout the day.  This
event will highlight various HUD programs and FHA mortgage loan products
designed to aid in meeting the housing needs of citizens impacted by
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  "Your Door to Homeownership" will also
highlight other federal, state, local and private sector programs that will
further promote the region's recovery efforts.  We hope you will join us on
Saturday, June 17th.
