There were also a number of news stories about it. Especially since she was
suppose to have heard some things she wasn't suppose to from some high
ranking officials. Soon after she was dead.

Ben,

She also worked as a barmaid at different places, among them the Chateau in
Village Square. Someone I know knew her well and on numerous occassion told
me the entire story. The entire time I was making mental notes remembering
everything I heard with the intention of writing a novel about it - and I
have written a good draft. You probably only know what you read in the
papers about it or heard from someone else. You have no ideal how
interesting, colorful and down right bizarre the real story gets if you're
as lucky as me to have known someone close to her - and my source said some
of the things I was told was not released to the public. I have no doubt
Hollywood will be interested in it for a screen play - they can't make up
stuff this good. Over the years I've accumulated quite a file on it.

It's a shame the internet and search engines are a thing of recent years
because you really can't find anything on it unless you go to UNO's library
and go through the Times-Picayune archives. Fortunately, a few years ago I
had the good luck to locate a reporter who used to write for the T-P St.
Bernard Bureau - do you remember Lisa Martin? I recalled she covered the
case for the paper and she remembered me, so she also told me a lot about
it.
