HURRICANE PROTECTION AND ITS IMPACT
ON SHIPPING IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA

Presenters

Corps of Engineers
Bring Back New Orleans Commission
Louisiana Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority
St. Bernard Parish

The Corps will have ten minutes to give its plan. Each of the other
presenters will have seven minutes to note how their plan differs from the
Corps'. All presenters are asked to emphasize the navigation/shipping impact
of their plan.

After each plan is given, the presenter will hear comments/answer questions
from a panel of industry representatives to be invited from:

American Waterways Operators
Freight Forwarders and Custom House Brokers
Louisiana River Pilots Association
Mississippi River Maritime Association
New Orleans Barge Fleeting Association
New Orleans Board of Trade
Offshore Marine Service Association
Propeller Club
Steamship Association of Louisiana
The Port of New Orleans
U. S. Coast Guard
World Trade Center

The industry panel will have twenty minutes for comments/questions after
which the audience will have ten minutes for comments/questions. The program
includes a fifteen minute break and a total of ten minutes for opening
introductions and brief closing remarks. Forum moderator will be Channing
Hayden.
