Wanted to make sure everyone knew of the latest information given to us by
the LRA- as far as documentation of the start of repair work.  While the
application for an electrical or other utility service would suffice for the
start of repair, many people are repairing but not ready for a utility
permit and have not chosen a contractor for that work, yet.  We posed the
dilenma to the LRA rep and we were told that any reciept or invoice that
shows work done on the house will be sufficient evidence that repair work
started.  Utiltily permits are even more clear cut, but for those not ready
for that, there is an alternative.  Please be cautioned that if you falsify
this information with a false receipt and an audit is done, you risk not
only the LRA grant money, but possibly flood insurance eligibility.
