	I agree with Kathy. I think the cross should be placed near
battlefield or
	somewhere closer in the parish. How many people are going to visit
down
	there? Too far.

I WOULD go down there, and am, to visit our  parishioners, St Bernardians
living down there. They, to me, represent TRUE TO THE HEART St Bernard
Spirit, rebuilding in spite of it all. I enjoy my visits , although my few
distributions of donations (received through the church) are only a drop on
the hot stone. I have great visits and think the cross down there is VERY
appropriate. I vote yes, (if there would be a vote). Too many things are
already done near Chalmette for the 'convenience' of up the road, and this
is something special down the road. 
My two cents worth.
