Hope the antenna info helps you if you get tired of your windowsill set-up!

About the Direct TV, did you call their customer retention department? We
got set up with Direct TV via Bellsouth in the FEMA trailer. I had issues
getting hooked up in Ponchatoula. I think I almost was in the same
situation as you. The guy who came out said there were too many trees and
that the only way was to run the cable from another part of the yard for a
fee. I told him nevermind. Well, we watched snow a few more weeks and I
decided to try again. This time a really nice guy from a place called
Bruister and Associates came out and said it would be fine. He even did
what the1st guy said needed to be done at no charge. He said it was all
part of the job. His name was Justin St. Mard. I asked him if I could
request him or his company when we moved back and he said we could. So we
did. They just came yesterday--another really nice guy named Bruce King--at
no charge. When they complete the call, you have to speak to someone in the
office and they even ask you if they performed did anything that they were
paid for. I guess that's a way of checking--not sure. Both times I tipped
the guys because they were so nice. I have the info if you want to try
again and ask for them.

Now for Direct TV. They said at first they would move me for free. When
the time came, the deal was move us for free if you stayed with them for
another year. I wasn't too keen on that as I still didn't have my phone
line and am cheap--I wanted my Bell South discount. That's how I got
involved with the Customer Retention Department--I have that # too. Anyway,
They waived the $95 move fee without the year deal, gave me acct credits and
3 months of Showtime free. Call them, and complain. It's worth a shot.

Hope the info helps. If you need the numbers, post it and I'll look them up
and e-mail them to you. A while back, someone else told of his experience
with Bell South's version of the Customer Ret. thing and they really did a
lot to keep him as a customer. Good luck Janet
