Golf tournament
 
    St. Anne Church of Littleton will hold the third annual golf tournament
Friday, Sept. 15 at Westminster Country Club. The event will benefit Our
Lady of Prompt Succor Parish in Chalmette, La. Last fall, the church was
devastated by Hurricane Katrina. It is now the one church that is open for
parishioners of nine area churches that were destroyed.
 
    Funds raised through the tournament will be used to renovate a former
gymnasium into classrooms and a library. In early August, a group of St.
Anne parishioners will help on-site with the remodeling project. St. Anne
Church will continue to support the Louisiana parish through the renovation
and with other needs caused by storm damage.
 
    For golfers to play, there is a $100 entrance fee that includes greens
fee, cart with electronic scorecard, golf balls, dinner, and prizes.
Individuals and groups less than four are welcome and will be matched up at
registration.
 
    Non-golfing spouses, parishioners and friends are invited to join the
golfers for dinner at the Westminster Country Club restaurant immediately
following the tournament at 3 p.m. The cost of dinner-only is $25. Cash
prizes will be awarded to winning golf teams. There will be raffles and a
cash bar.

Individuals and businesses can sponsor a hole for $100 or be a major event

    Tournament registration forms are available at St. Anne Church rectory
or by calling 978-486-4100. Completed registration form and full payment
must be returned to the church by Thursday, Aug. 31.
