I sure hope things work out. We have enough troubles without others
creating more. I hope the BBB helps you out. I'm not familiar with all of
this cable/satellite stuff. Before Katrina all we had was what came over
the airwaves--no cable etc. We were never home enough to warrant the extra
expense. But in Ponchatoula there was such poor reception and no New
Orleans news so we splurged. Not like we didn't just lose everything and
had money to spare! Ha.

Hang in there. I'm sure it will get straightened out.

Unfortunately I didn't go through BellSouth to get the Direct TV. I
went to
the truck on Judge Perez ergo my problems. I'm still fighting with
DirectTV
who had SkyDirect (supposedly the ones in charge of the trucks on
the
highway) contact me. They were no help. The girl said she had been
friends
with the installer & his wife for years and that she would give me
her word
that he would never try to scam me or retaliate against me in any
way
because I stopped payment on the check. Her word is not good enough
for me.
She then asked how she could fix things. I told her the #1 thing she
could
do was to pay the installers the $70 so that I wouldn't have to
worry about
retaliation. She said that her company could not do that. My other
requests
(if I was allowed them) would be that they reimburse me the $29 stop
payment
fee & to take steps to ensure that St. Bernard Parish residents are
not
scammed by their company (or Direct TV). So I e-mailed Direct TV
again &
told them what happened & then went to the Better Business Bureau's
website
& filed a complaint against them.
