Does anyone know if there are still volunteers working in the parish gutting
homes?  We have been working on gutting my parents home whenever we can and
basically it is moving slower than a snail's pace.  I am going back this
Sunday to try my best to get more done but am unable to move the larger
furniture pieces.  They have been on 3 gutting lists since November.
Periodically I check in with Habitat for Humanity but no one has ever
returned my calls.  My dad had a stroke in July and cannot even go there to
pick through anything.  I have one room completely empty and a few that have
just debris but the main thing I need the volunteers to do is just get the
remaining furniture out.  I will take care of the rest (sheetrock, cabinets,
carpets, etc).  If anyone can help me with contact information for a group
in the parish I would greatly appreciate it.
