If they own the property before the effective date of the new ordinance,
then the parish has no say so.  I'm not sure what the effective date is, but
I don't think it has past yet.

Also, remember that it is going to take a neighborhood watch to enforce it.
If the whole neighborhood is Section 8, who is going to turn them in?  Other
than wait for the crime stats to say an investigation is warranted.

I'm sure Craig or Deborah can fill us in.

	Talked to a very good source this weekend who said that someone
bought up
	about 18 houses together in Lexington and is turning them into
Section 8
	housing. Word is the residents are very upset about this. Partially
	confirmed by a man in line at the government complex who said that
he had
	sold his home in Lexington to a Vietnamese woman who had also bought

	others but was running low on funds. He did say however that she did
not
	tell him whether or not it would be Section 8 housing.
