St. Bernard Parish has sued the US Army Corps of Engineers seeking to hasten
the inevitable closure of the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet.  The case was
filed yesterday. 

 

It is the first time in history that a local governing body has taken action
against the Corps to force them to fix a monumental problem that has caused
decades of death and destruction.
