Our house is on the "To be demolished" list.  It is also located in the
Murphy oil spill zone.  The two blocks in which this house is located is
desolate, no one seems to be returning.

We have cleaned out the inside, but have not removed the sheetrock on the
walls.  We are keeping the grass cut down. About four window panes are
broken and two entrance doors are gone.  We are having second thoughts about
what to do with the house.

We have a couple of questions:

   "Can we still apply for the online permit.  What would be the
advantages/disadvantages of doing 
     so?"  I understand we may required to resind the demolish order, secure
the house with 
     windows and doors and complete the gutting process..

   " If the house has sustained over 50% damage (repair costs exceed more
than 50% of the pre-K 
     value), can it be repaired by myself or another owner using the
existing slab, studs, roof  and  
     brick?  Or is it too late and would the house have to be raised three
feet by myself or  another 
     owner?"
