HOUSTON, Sept 25 (Reuters) - A gasoline-producing catalytic cracking unit
was shut on Monday afternoon by a fire at the 188,000 barrel per day (bpd)
joint venture refinery in Chalmette, Louisiana, operated by Exxon Mobil
Corp. and Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, a refinery spokeswoman said.

There were no injuries due to the cat cracker fire, which broke out at 4:30
p.m. CDT (2030 GMT) and was extinguished by refinery and local firefighters
at 5 p.m. CDT (2100 GMT), said refinery spokeswoman Carolina Asirifi.
