to all policy holders of Lafayette Insurance, division of United Fire
-- if you have not received letter/notice in mail

I received a letter from United Fire on Sept 21 notifying me as policy
holder of class action lawsuit filed in St Bernard, Charles Dupree v
Lafayette, CA No 105-21, 34 JDC Parish St Bernard, stating Lafayette
and plaintiffs counsel, Murphy Rogers Sloss & Gambel and Carter &
Willis law firms, have agreed to voluntary review process whereby
insureds in St Bernard dissatisfied with claims may have their claims
jointly reviewed by both.

There are seven items of dispute:
1. deductible was properly applied
2. multiple deductibles were properly applied
3. reasonable valuations for repair costs were used in estimating
repair costs
4. wind damage adjustments were inaccurate of understated
5. claims were adjusted and timely paid
6. depreciation was properly deducted
7. additional living expenses were properly paid

To participate contact mediator office of John Perry, Baton Rouge, 225-
767-7967 and ask for his asst Ms Frankie Snyder.

UFG letter is signed by Bruce K Miller Asst VP Claims and phone # on
letterhead is 800-343-9131 if you have not received notice.

None of the above is "direct quote but summary"
