[StBernard] Still waiting for Phone Service

I'm not sure if the council is aware of this since at one meeting we sat
through, Bellsouth insisted that they had restored most of the parish except
for outlying areas. An outlying area I am not, I live in Chalmette, in the
Murphy zone to be exact. We do not have service from Bellsouth other than
that wireless broadband thing. Everytime I call, I get some idiot who tells
me that I have to wait until July 2007. That is preposterous and appalling
that we are now 14 months into this and still nothing. I heard Violet has
service and Paris Rd has service. In fact, according to that map posted on
the website, service was all the way to Golden Dr, only 3 streets away, in
April. How in the world does it take over a year to get service 3 more
streets? Can something be done about this? Some well placed pressure
perhaps? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one waiting on Bellsouth. 

On a side note: Perviously I came across some very rude and disrespectful
customer service people who obviously didn't know the meaning of customer
service. This last phone call I made a few minutes ago, the 3 people I
talked to were incrediably nice. I can only assume they received many many
complaints about that. However nice they were, the soonest date I got was
still July 2007. I'm sorry but that is totally unacceptable. I have been
more than accomodating thus far but my patience is fast running thin.
