pck,

the ICC money is only available for homes that are not compliant with
current flood elevations. If demo is the mitigation choice a person makes
then ICC money is available for eligible homes. If the house is cleaned out
and secured then the time period for doing something with the house is
subject only to the repair requirement time lines that are implemented and
will be implemented over the next year- while the ordinance passed during
the summer spells out a time line, the council is looking at what time
extension is appropriate for certain levels of repair.

Good luck and God Bless,
Craig

What is the cost for demolition ordinarily, whether FEMA pays all of the
cost or 10%? I thought that all NFIP policies offered up to $30,000 for
demolition, elevation, or re-location of homes for up to 4 years after the
flood. So if I choose not to demo now, don't I have up to 4 years to make a
decision to demolish, and still be able to take advantage of the $30,000 in
compliance money?
