[StBernard] Mosquitoes

Seeing the headline' St Tammany hit by  Mosquito invasion' makes my head
turn. What? St Tammany? What about St Bernard? 
For the last three days I cant go to my car without being attacked by black
stinging tiny monsters. When going to Hopedale, they swarm into my car like
African Killerbees, and I heard the mosquito truck only once in the last
three days.
My daughter tells me her friend in Metairie has the same problem. 
What is happening? 
I am sure the mosquito truck must come when I am not there, but it used to
come at dusk and again before sunrise, and that helped during the morning
and evening trips outside the house, but I seem to miss it now.
TV news tell us the mosquitoes are being killed by the poison, but there
seems to develop a plague of Egyptian  proportion down here.
Is the plane still flying and spraying? What happened that these little
things got so many all of a sudden?
