Dear friends,

With just a few days left until Election Day, our campaign has kicked into
overdrive to ensure that we reach every voter before the election. We have
volunteers going door-to-door. People throughout the district are calling
their neighbors reminding them how important this election is for the future
of our state. And our television commercials are airing on stations
throughout the area to ensure that voters get to hear our positive campaign
message.

There are three things you can do to help:

Vote!
It seems simple, but every single vote matters. To find out where you vote
on Election Day, click here: Locate your polling place
<http://sos.louisiana.gov/polllocator/index.htm>

Make sure your family, friends and neighbors vote!
The election falls on a Tuesday, and it is crucial that every person gets to
the polls. Call up your family members and friends and remind them how
important this election will be for the future of Louisiana.

Volunteer!
It is not too late to sign up to help. Please email info at bobbyjindal.com or
call (504) 274-0080 to find out how you can make a difference!

Our campaign team will not take anything for granted, and we will not be
out-worked. Despite the fact that our team has been working over the past
year to make sure that residents in the First District know how hard we have
worked for them, we still face three opponents who will stop at nothing to
see us defeated. One of our opponents has even launched last minute attacks.
That is why it is so important that we reach every voter to tell them about
the issues that matter most to Louisiana.

One of my opponents has said he agrees with my fiscal conservatism, but
disagrees with me because of my opposition to the legalization of illegal
drugs and my opposition to redefining marriage. I could not disagree more
with my opponent on these two issues. I have fought hard to protect
Louisiana values in Congress, and I will keep working for every vote to
ensure that Louisiana values continue to be protected in Washington, D.C.

Another ad hit the airwaves!

We have gotten a great response from our television ads that are airing on
TV, so I wanted to share another one with you. To view our newest ad, click

In case you missed it

Our campaign received several endorsements earlier this week and I wanted to
share these editorials with you:

New Orleans Times-Picayune

U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal brings an impressive level of intelligence and energy
to everything he does, and that has been true during his first term in
Congress. Although he was a newcomer to elected office, he quickly
established himself as a leader in Washington. Post-Katrina he has
distinguished himself by stepping up the push to get Louisiana a share of
offshore oil revenues. The effort has been ongoing for years, but thanks to
Rep. Jindal and other members of the Louisiana congressional delegation,
Congress seems to be moving closer to an agreement on revenue sharing. Rep.
Jindal's ambitious proposal has given the state a shot at getting a more
substantial share of revenues, and he deserves credit for aiming high.

Rep. Jindal serves on the Homeland Security and the Education and the
Workforce committees, which has put him in a good position post-Katrina. His
extensive background in health-care policy also is a plus. He has put his
talents and energy to good use in his first two years in Congress, and he
deserves another term.

And from Louisiana Weekly:

After Katrina, Bobby Jindal was one of the first people back on the ground.
He organized relief efforts when too many other politicians were busy with
press conferences or mutual accusations. Jindal is the living example that
it matters not what party you join, but what kind of leader you are.

And Esquire magazine says:

Jindal swept into office on a party-line Republican platform two years ago,
but he has burned a few bridges--and made friends back home--by fighting for
Louisiana to get a fair share of the royalties from its offshore oil. Plus,
his IQ could boil water.

Gambit Weekly says:

In his freshman term, Republican U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal secured House
passage of a far-reaching bill that would generate billions in offshore oil
and gas royalties for Louisiana. That bill is now in conference with House
and Senate negotiators, who were unable to reach a compromise before
Congress recessed for the elections. Negotiations are expected to resume
when Congress returns in mid-November. Although few believe the Jindal plan
will prevail over the more moderate Senate version of offshore revenue
sharing, it is remarkable that a first-term congressman could steer such a
measure through the House, particularly after so many others failed to do so
for more than four decades. That achievement is a testament to Jindal's
tenacity and his ability to work with lawmakers representing many diverse
interests. He also has called for speedy investigations into the Foley
scandal and for criminal charges against any who broke the law, regardless
of party. He has earned the respect of his colleagues and of voters, and we
heartily endorse his re-election.

In addition, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has endorsed our campaign
for our efforts to defend our Second Amendment rights.
