The Duany ideas haven't taken off from the get-go.  Why would they come into
play for village square.  How sad to tear it down only to rebuild.  However,
if this happens the parish should adopt stronger resolutions to have
landlords take full responsibility of taking care of their properties.  If
it's their tenants that make it unsightly then the landlords need to enforce
stronger penalties to their tenants, otherwise pay the price themselves.   

I do recall the first meeting in Baton Rouge, as well several held in the
"da parish" wherein it was clearly stated that village square would indeed
be history.  To bad that consideration can't be lived up to.  Oh well - yet
another "promise" Gone With the Wind!!!
