Received my yellow award letter today. Estimated Pre-Storm Value of home -
$187,488 (1980 s.f. home), Estimated Damage to Home - $152,785. Deductions:
Total Insurance Proceeds - $111,980, FEMA Assistance - $1,596. Three options
offered: Option 1, Stay in my home - $39,209 Compensation Grant. Option 2,
Relocate in Louisiana - $73,911 Compensation Grant. Option 3, Relocate
outside of Louisiana - Zero Compensation Grant. 
It looks like they used around $95 per s.f. to figue the value of my home. I
will be taking Option 2 since I have already relocated to Geismar in
Ascension Parish. I was hoping for a little more, but expecting alot less so
all in all I guess this is a pretty fair price. My home is located on Valmar
Dr. in Meraux. 
Can't complain about the time line, I mailed my application in on August
31st and had my meeting in Baton Rouge.
