Church Supply in Metairie has an extensive selection of religious items. I
believe that they are on Division Street (down the street from Barnes and
Nobles. Ask to see Jeff.

Among the many things lost in the Katrina flood waters were my rosary,
Revised Standard Version Catholic Bible and my wall crucifix in my
bedroom-didn't escape the flood waters-just below.

So my question is this: Is there a store in the parish that is selling
Catholic religious items? If not, where is the nearest religious store that
does sell them? I've checked items on www.ewtn.com and the prices are
horrendous!

I'm not EVEN going into the rest of the personal losses such as the antique
Victrola my dad was given or even the Edison Recording records we had.

Then there is the Buffet-Crampon (a'la Paris) clarinet that was personally
chose for me by my band director at Morehead State University-in Kentucky.
I don't want to think about what with that damned water did to the pads on
the clarinet plus just ruining the grenadilla wood on the clarinet.

And then plus there's the Kaspar mouthpiece that was personnaly chosen for
me! It gave me a great sound. And I played (for my Jr. year faculty jury)
the Debussy Premiere o get a Rhapsondy for clairinet. I had to get a faculty
member to play the piano reduction from the ocrhestra score. I got 4.0s on
my faculty scores!! But...it doesn't mean much in the real wrold.

As ever,
Jim York
