ALL: Old news. I've been in negotiations today/previously with the Road Home
and POST-Katrina is now considered. Therefore, if original Options letter
(especially if relocation is considered, Option 2), is completed, then
appeal for additional consideration. For those who didn't get an opportunity
to discuss it prior to the opions letter arriving, you can call
1-888-762-3252, then choose 1, for English. Then, option 6 to get to the
benefits section. Ask for "BENEFITS ELECTION" and they will transfer you to
specialists who can tell you the breakdown of what you will receive. By all
means, if the original offer is non-satisfactory, APPEAL for additional cash
(which could include the difference between what THEIR appraisals are valued
and the one you get/have PRE-Katrina. It could mean thousands in your
pocket.
