New Year's Resolutions for those who are returning or working on their
homes--- Let's start the new year off by returning to the things we normally
did before Aug 2005. How about bagging items that are put out for trash so
it doesn't blow all over the neighborhood? How about buying a real trash can
and putting your household garbage in something with a lid so the rats and
strays don't tear the bags open and spred that mess around, too? How about
keeping the drain nearest you clean so the street doesn't flood because of
leaves and stuff clogging the opening? How about sweeping and hosing your
part of the street so we all get fewer flat tires from broken glass, screws,
nails, etc? How about removing illegal signs that people tie to our trees
and street signs?  How about getting back to being normal people, in nice
neighborhoods who look out for one another? Let's get out of the crisis
state of mind. Perhaps if we stop acting like we live in a war zone, we'll
stop looking like a war zone, at least where the people are rebuilding their
corner of the universe. If you want our neighborhoods to be as nice as
elsewhere, do the things you'd have to do if you lived elsewhere. Happy New
