With all the problems residents are experiencing with the rats and mice
eating automobile wires and hoses, can some form of coordinated effort be
made to throw rat poison in these abandoned properties?  When is the parish
going to start spaying lawns and billing the owners?  I would think that
this, and possibly an equivalent charge for "cleaning" debris off the front
lawns of some of these properties that were gutted and now simply sit, would
catch the attention of the owners.  If nothing else, perhaps the money could
be dedicated to a program to hire young people to clean-up lawns on
week-ends?
