This link is to an article in the aarp publication about the Green House in
Mississippi, one of the first alternate 'homes' for the elderly. I see these
type of changes in promo things, more than just adding plants and cats to a
rest home, but really changing the institution into a home, the medical
model to a social model. 
Look into it.,
