[StBernard] Thank You Letter

Westley, 
I want to thank you for continuing to provide the email information about
St. Bernard Parish. In addition to providing information, it helps that I
know I'm not alone in some of the confusion and frustration that I feel. I
return to the N.O. area quite often, and the last time I was there, I drove
around the parish for about 3 or 4 hours. I am disheartened at my area of
Charles Drive, but I am amazed at areas like Jumonville South and South
Lakes where people are so busy repairing. 

Just FYI, I went to my Road Home meeting on December 7. Someone called
around December 21 to say they were going to measure my house. And I have
not heard a word since. Of course, I am concerned that by being in the
Murphy area, perhaps I won't hear anything at all. I've read some Times
Picayune Forum posts, where people think they're not going to get anything
because of Murphy. Who knows. It's just wait and wait and wait some more. 

My daughter really wants to fix the house in Chalmette. She has returned to
teaching at the St. Bernard Parish Public School and she is happy to be
among the teachers and staff again. She said the students seem angry and she
totally understands that, but it's hard for her to teach when the children
tell her they hate her or they don't care about learning.  She's a trooper
though, and I know she won't give up on them. 

Anyway, thanks again for the connection that you provide to people like me.
I notice someone is suggesting you run for Parish President. . . . . Think
about it.
