Dear friends,
Honored to have Senator David Vitter's support!
I wanted to share some great news with you. This morning, U.S. Senator David
Vitter declared his support for our campaign for Governor.
David has been a strong leader for our state. It means a lot to have his
support at this crucial time.
David knows all too well that we need strong leadership in Louisiana. I have
been working closely with David in Washington, D.C. to ensure that our state
has all of the resources it needs to move forward. But unless we have strong
leadership making the critical decisions on the ground in Louisiana, our
state will be unable to advance and compete with other states.
I am committed to moving our state forward, and I look forward to continuing
to work with David to address the real issues facing Louisiana. To read the

Giving law enforcement officers the tools they need to fight crime
Last week I told you about a crime fighting bill I am pushing in Congress. I
have spent the last few days traveling around our state letting people know
about this important bill that will help fight the gang, drug, and crime
activity that is spreading in Louisiana.
There were a number of great stories about my bill, but I wanted to share
one from the Baton Rouge Advocate that highlights the very real need for
this legislation. Click here to read more about this important bill

Kicking off the Mardi Gras season
My children love this time of year. We had our first king cake of the season
recently, and the kids know that this means that parades are just around the
corner. So now they wake up every morning asking if there is a parade today.
Mardi Gras cannot get here soon enough for them!
This weekend, I got a little bit of an early start by kicking off the season
in North Louisiana where I had the opportunity to participate in the
Jonesboro Mardi Gras parade in Jackson Parish. I had a great time, and I am
looking forward to many more parades over the next few weeks.
Learning from a Louisiana legend
On Saturday night, I was honored to join the Duck Commander, Phil Robertson,
a legend in Louisiana for his duck calling abilities, at an event in West
Monroe. As many of you know, I enjoy spending time in the duck blinds, but
Phil put my duck calling abilities to shame. I had a wonderful time at the
event though, and I am looking forward to trying out some of the calls Phil
told me about!
I hope you have a wonderful week, and please feel free to contact my office
if we can be of any assistance to you.
Sincerely,
Bobby Jindal
