BOASSO TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETINGS IN ST. BERNARD, PLAQUEMINES PARISHES
State Sen. Walter Boasso will hold Town Hall meetings in St. Bernard and
Plaquemines Parishes in coming days, continuing his statewide effort to
engage citizens in government and promote Get It Done Louisiana, a
non-profit organization founded to help citizens hold Baton Rouge
leadership accountable. Boasso serves as the group's spokesman.

The St. Bernard Parish meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, from
6:30 to 9 p.m. at Chalmette High School's cafeteria.

The Plaquemines Parish meeting will be held on Thursday, March 1, from
6:30 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 104 Hunt St., Belle Chasse.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and offer examples of wasteful
spending and state government ignoring their interests. Sen. Boasso will
also discuss and accept input about the upcoming Legislative Session.

"Let's work together to help stop bureaucracy from ignoring the real
interests of the people," Sen. Boasso said. "We need an organization
where people's voices can be heard and this is just the time to do it.
Get It Done Louisiana has had enormous success and I have no doubt we'll
continue to grow, getting larger and larger over time."

Citizens can join Get It Done Louisiana or get additional information by
