"Ms Simms: That's for all the Nawlins folk who went to Atlanta and also
Dallas TX. Remember, those folk didn't have flood or most likely, homeowners
insurance so they will be able to reap the max out of the LRA. --JLY"

***Mr. York, how do you figure that they'll get the max? I spent a year and
a half trying different agencies (including the LRA), but had to come down
to St. Bernard occasionally from there in order to get anything done. One
thing is certain factually and I agree: That most of those that were forced
to Atlanta, Augusta and other parts of GA were from the New Orleans city
limits. I was deprived of much assistance as an outcast from St. Bernard.
Moreover, I had to wait like many others in various shelters, Red Cross
lines, etc. with snickering taking place. It was quite an ordeal. I had
flood, and I had homeowners, but lacked sufficient amounts for recovery as
did the majority of people caught unaware from the storm. However, at the
moment, I thought of the old adage: "Beggars can't be choosey"

It's just that you stated, "All the Nawlins folk going to Atlanta" and this
is a St. Bernardian boy who lived in Augusta and would have had to travel
200 miles anyhow. I just got a "belated" post card from the Road Home
project (ironically, it went to the GA address, then forwarded to me back
here) and strange that they and their website has the changes made six
months back, and still goes to an address because I suppose, they wanted to
alert Atlanta citizens/GA citizens that they now have a refuge to seek help
with their Road Home plans.

Reap the Max? Perhaps you should be aware that all recipients of the program
will not get the Max, no matter if it's in GA or otherwise because some say
they will achieve a surplus from depriving its recipients true value of
their home/property, etc. unless a law is established to correct the
ill-will generated by such a debauchery.
