howard,

the issue of the pool penalty is already on the books for 50.00 a day but
the administration has not been enforcing it so the council is considering a
way to require the pools to be filled in and a mecanism to accomplish this.

hope to see you sunday.

Craig,

I resident recently loss one of their pets to a non fenced pool in the
neighborhood. This time it's a pet, tomorrow it might be a child. The
grass cutting provision did wonders in getting residents to act. But I
don't see much in the way of residents doing something to secure their
pools. I understand that we already know the locations of most of the pools
in the parish. What is the penalty for not property securing a pool? We
should not treat the uncutting of grass any different than the unprotected
area around a pool. It may be the only thing that saves a child. The
question is not if but when some terrible will happen.

Thx

Howard
