[StBernard] heater units

Need an idea for those MRE heater units.
We used MREs for quite a while, during the initial rebuilding, but did not
always use the heater units once we had a cooking place there. I am sure
there is a good use for them, such as during hunting trips, on boats, during
cold weather to heat a mattress perhaps, any ideas? I dont think I want them
in the garbage, and they should certainly not get wet.
