Although I can't answer your specific questions, what I and a few friends of
mine all think is he is nothing but a grandstander.  His life goal has
always been to be a politician.

He's usually causing some ruckus with the state Republican Party and he is
trying to be some type of political consultant or other such bigwig while
not in any elected office.

I would fully expect him to run for State Rep District 104 again, especially
if Nina Hutter decides to make a run for Senate District 1 to replace
Boasso.

I recently read an article that referenced the fact that Mike Bayham has
been hired by the parish as a grant writer.
 
I know that Mr. Bayham was previously on the council and that he did a
number of posts to nola.com from Baton Rouge.  I guess he evacuated there
post-Katrina.
 
My questions are these:  What are his bona fides for this job as grant
writer and 2nd:  what does the job pay?  Was the job advertised as a vacancy
or what was done to publicize the job.  I do know that his mother is a
parish official who made a lot of overtime post-Katrina.  It gives one
points to ponder.
