"The Blanco administration wants the federal government to help pay the
moving expenses of displaced residents who return to hurricane-affected
areas."

****Whoa! This begs the question. To those who have spent lots of money
moving back the past 18 months after being forced away (St. Bernard, and
others) will be forgotten and the $4000 would just help those who are now
living in Houston, Atlanta and a slew of renters? I can't read that this
will be retroactive and be "inclusive" of those who came back to Louisiana
to live this past 1 1/2 yrs. Is this another ploy to get groups of people
lots of money to come back (like they did with the Road Home Program)? Hey,
what about paying me some of that money for coming back to live? Sounds like
this is "pressure-treated" to get minorities the money to come home (to New
Orleans primarily, even if there MIGHT NOT BE HOUSING readily available for
the masses?) as many have bought homes or relocated away.

What I hear (and please correct me if I'm reading into this wrongly), is
that "If you're STILL living away and like to get up to $4000, (barring
getting FEMA to accept the bargain), do come back, save your receipts and
we'll give you a reimbursement."

"If those who have spend their much needed last savings to get back home
already after evacuating away, you're stuck!"

Where's the fairness to those who faithfully came back to the state to live?
Sounds too fishy - (even for fishermen)..
