As long as the seller had a building permit before the cut-off date from
last year and maintained flood insurance the entire time, you should be
grandfathered in. Perhaps more important than the cut-off date is making
sure there was no lapse in flood insurance.

I'm buying a house on Palmisano Blvd that was build in 1995. The act of
sale is not until April 16. Will I have to raise it to comply with FEMA's
