Yes they have.
Just had sixandhalf thousand bucks repair cost on my vehicle, found four
dead rats in it: one in the AC duct broke the door flap, one by the fuel
filter, two elsewhere. 
 
I see lots with slabs overgrown, covering WATER HYDRANTS. That is quite a
fire hazard.
