Bolt cutters, wiring lead to Florida man's arrest in Chalmette
Posted by St. Bernard bureau June 27, 2007 11:46AM
A Florida man was booked in connection with a residence burglary in
Chalmette after authorties received a call of a someone coming from inside a
house carrying bolt cutters and wiring.

St. Bernard Parish deputies responding to the suspicious person call in the
2700 block of Jean Lafitte Boulevard questioned William Henning, 39, of
Cantonment, Fla. Henning told deputies he had stopped to get water for his
vehicle, which would not start. He told deputies that he had not been inside
the house and that the wiring they saw in his truck had come from another
location.

However, a woman who was with Henning told the deputies that Henning had
been inside the house and had later handed her some bolt cutters. One of the
deputies then went inside the house and noted that some electrical wiring in
the house matched the wiring found in the bed of Henning's truck.

Henning was booked with theft under $300, residence burglary, criminal
trespassing and possession of stolen property in connection with the June 20
incident.
