SHINE SUMMER SERIES.CONTINUES

It's July and things are heating up,
especially with Shine Productions as it presents its naughty and bawdy
variety show, Shine After Dark. This evening of adult comedy will be
hosted by comic Tom Hassinger, and the Bard of St. Bernard, Barry Lemoine.
Shine After Dark is a fast-paced mix of skits, sketches and stand up comedy.
Join Hassinger, Lemoine, Will Schneider, Christian Bordelon and all the
Shine favorites for this night of fun. Show dates are at Flour Power on
Friday and Saturday, July 20 and 21. Doors open 8 pm, show starts at 9 pm.
Tickets are $12 in advance at $15 at the door, and are available at Flour
Power Playhouse, 2101 Paris Road in Chalmette 276.9095, or call Barry

Shine has also partnered with the St.
Bernard based non-profit group, The Voices Foundation to bring The Voices of
Louisiana to Nunez Community College for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Presented by the
Evacuation Theatre Troupe, this hysterical and historical look at our home
state recently toured the country spreading the word about the culture and
recent hardships to communities across the nation. The show will take to
the stage at the Nunez College Auditorium on Friday, July 27th at 8 pm. For

Voices of Louisiana will also be performed
at Destrehan Plantation on July 28.

And in August its time to get ready for some
football, as Shine will premier its original production of Bless You, Boys,
an irreverent yet loving look at our New Orleans Saints at Flour Power.
Written by Hassinger and Lemoine, Bless You, Boys takes you on a comedic
romp through the forty years of the black and gold. Along the way, audiences
will meet local the likes and dislikes of John Mecom, Archie Manning, Jim
Mora, Mike Ditka, Gumbo the dog, and the Sinsations. Joining Hassinger,
Lemoine, Bordelon, and Schneider in this production is the versatile and
comedic actress, Jenny Meyers. The world premiere of Bless You, Boys is
Friday, August 17th and Saturday August 18 th at 8 pm at Flour Power. All
tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and can be purchased at Flour
Power 7am-8pm Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm on Saturday. For more information
