Possibly the records maintained by the sheriff's office or by the assessor's
office are mechanized to provide a listing by owner in address order. In
reading ddk's post it appears that the clerk of court's data base sorts by
name  and that the address is not a specific field that could be searched to
provide a listing in ownership/address order.
