Governor Blanco among SELF Magazine's 10 Most Inspiring Women


BATON ROUGE - Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco is among 10 women singled out for their extraordinary leadership in SELF Magazine's "10 Most Inspiring Women," an article in the September issue available at newsstands today. 

"I am quite honored to be included with such amazing women for this piece in SELF, particularly because the magazine targets young women who need positive role models," Governor Blanco said. "I hope the article will serve to empower readers to achieve their goals and continue to contribute to society." 

The article spotlights an array of women from all walks of life, from Oprah Winfrey to Sandra Bullock. Gov. Blanco shares a spot on the list with the nation's eight other female governors "for showing the country and the world that women are cut out to lead."
