Saith Jer: What seems apparent these days is this. Senators and those in
offices find a
lull in their work life and I believe the boredom is alleviated by some sort
of activity which awakens their taxed minds. Scandals are an excitement to
their day/week/month/year and find it titillating to some extent. Finding
exciting in this game sparks their interest in the elected position and
therefore look forward to scandalous affairs or criminal activity. It will
never cease as long as the human brain looks to avenge their party's
political miscues.
"To quote the Geico caveman...WHAT? I have no idea what that even means.g"
**Tee hee. "I say, WHAT??? So, titillation is not a style of enjoyment you
embrace <smile> That's odd gathering from the writings..Some people look
forward to hum-drumming and enjoy watching dominoes fall. Regarding the
cause-effect model, it's human nature, we suppose that sparks one's
happiness (effect) from one's downfall (cause). <G>
>Finding exciting in this game... HUH?
>What would you have done as yourself...
As I said Jerry, it's not about ME. I'm not the elected official, nor did I
stand up or put myself up as the "family values" man. Vitter, Craig,
Livingston did. And yes it's damned funny when they are caught with their
pants down (or their diapers on).
**it certainly doesn't have to be about you. Even if one chooses "family
values" as the platform which impresses the voter, he/she should stick to
it. As to Mr. Clinton, getting caught with his pants down on more than one
occasion (by multiple woman who loved bringing down a president) isn't "damn
funny", Mr. Jim. It's sad at best.
But if we can sum it up with people who can't behave in office: "Give
someone enough rope and he certainly shall hang himself." You should
understand that damnation encompasses both side of the political camps. This
month it's conservative and next month, it shall be liberal. The
leap-froggin' has been occurring for centuries, regardless of one's
political affiliation.
