Children's Defense Fund Referral Services

The Children's Defense Fund's Louisiana Office is offering resource and
referral services to people who have returned to the New Orleans area after
Hurricane Katrina. CDF staff is available to help find resources to meet
immediate needs such as health care, transportation, employment, housing,
utilities, prescription assistance, and school uniforms. There is no waiting
list for these services. The Volunteers of America and Odyssey House are
offering similar services, though there is a month-long waiting list.
