Six people were arrested recently in copper and aluminum thefts in St.
Bernard Parish neighborhoods, authorities said.

A witness reported to deputies that men with bolt cutters were inside a
vacant house in the 3600 block of Kings Drive, the Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies searching the home apprehended Brian Nasworthy, 32, of New Orleans
and Centell Davis, 33, of St. Bernard. Copper and the bolt cutters were
recovered at the scene, a sheriff's news release said.

Two women, Shonda Nasworthy, 30, of New Orleans, and Sherry Perez, 33, no
hometown available, were stopped in a vehicle nearby. Two small children
were in the back seat.

Davis and Brian Nasworthy were booked with residence burglary and two counts
of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Davis also was booked with
resisting arrest by flight from an officer.

Shonda Nasworthy and Perez were booked with principal to burglary and two
counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

On Tuesday, Alex Juneau, 18, of Chalmette and Terry Oltmann, 20, of Arabi,
were booked with residence burglary and resisting arrest.

Witnesses reported seeing the men inside a vacant home in the 700 block of
Friscoville Avenue. The two ran from the home after seeing deputies, but
stopped after being ordered to the ground. Oltmann told deputies the pair
was taking aluminum from air-conditioning units in the home.
