St. Bernard Parish deputies seek shooting suspect

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect wanted in
connectio with the the shooting of a Meraux man Monday night.


Deputies found Russell Beaty, 27, with a gunshot wound to the chest late
Monday night at the Myrtle Grove Trailer Park in Meraux, where he resides.
Investigators said Beaty was shot after a confrontation with two other
people. 

Beaty was taken to a hospital in New Orleans, where he was still being
treated Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release. 

The suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information about the
