New senario concerning sidewalks. Murphy removed the sidewalks when they did
the house demos.  When they demolished the house next to mine they chopped
off a piece of the sidewalk  that was connected to my sidewalk causing it to
crack.  A crack exactly where we need to drive into our driveway.  I was
told to put in a claim.  Which I did. Now I'm being told by the claim
representative for Murphy that the sidewalks are St. Bernard Parish
responsibiliy.
What gives here?  First they remove our "parish sidewalks" and now the
parish is going to pick up the cost for repair of something they caused.
What's wrong with this picture? 
You knock down a light pole with a car and you are responsible. Why are they
not responsible for damage they caused directly?  How do I get the problem
fixed?
