2 N.O. teens held in holdups

Two New Orleans teens have been arrested in connection with a pair of
home-invasion robberies Tuesday in St. Bernard Parish, authorities said. 

The suspects, ages 15 and 16, entered two Chalmette homes within 15 minutes
Tuesday afternoon and robbed two men at gunpoint, taking their wallets,
sheriff's deputies said. 

The 15-year-old was arrested Thursday while trying to steal a car in Arabi,
said Capt. Mike Sanders of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office. 

The 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday night by New Orleans police on an
unrelated charge. St. Bernard detectives obtained a warrant for the teen's
arrest and will book him with armed robbery when he is released from custody
in New Orleans, Sanders said. 


Sanders did not say how authorities linked the teens to the holdups. 

The suspects' names were not released because they are juveniles.
