SCHULE SIGNS WITH TAMPA BAY

Former Chalmette resident Jason Schule has signed a contract to play for the
Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL.

Schule recently played for the Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings of the Arena
Football 2 league. A fullback, he led the AF2 in rushing yards (351 on 89
carries) last season and also led the Battlewings in yards per carry (3.9),
rushing touchdowns (20) and rushing yards per game (21.9). Schule also
caught four touchdown passes and was second on the team in scoring with 144
points.

Known as "Schule the Mule" for his running and "The Bayou Butcher" for his
blocking ability, Schule becomes the second Battlewings player from the 2007
roster to ink a deal in the AFL. Defensive end Elex Reed signed with the
Cleveland Gladiators earlier in the off season.

The 6-foot, 242-pound fullback began the season with a game-breaking 45-yard
rushing touchdown to seal the victory in the 2007 season opener against Fort
Wayne and never looked back.

Schule, 25, attends the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he is
majoring is kinesiology. He plans to graduate in the fall.

He is a 2002 graduate of Archbishop Hannan High School, where he still holds
the school's single-game rushing record of 421 yards on 35 carries.

Schule is the son of Sandra and Fred Schule Jr. of Chalmette. He is married
to Mindy Allen Schule and is the father of Jason Schule Jr., and Joshua and
Elijah Schule.

He reports to Tampa's training camp in February.
