you may want to check the yard next door to make sure they are not having
the same problem. It is unusual in the winter. Ticks need a host. Does your
neighbor have a dog?

Also, we had a problem years back and bleach was the easiest, cheapest
remedy for the lawn and the neighbor's lawn .

Has anyone else been experiencing an influx in the tick population on their
animals?

My yard surface consist of aggregate rocks and cement slab. My Golden
Retriever has never had ticks or fleas and he is a house dog. He only goes
into the yard to relieve himself. I've just recently found ticks on him on
several instances.
