Parade marks celebration of King day

The memory of Martin Luther King Jr. will be celebrated Monday when the MLK
Community Service Group of St. Bernard Parish holds a procession through the
streets of Chalmette. 

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at Palmisano Boulevard and Judge Perez
Drive. From there, marchers will travel west on Judge Perez Drive, turn
right on Paris Road and then left on Magnolia Street to the Nunez Community
College Auditorium parking lot, where they will disband. 

A short program, with a guest speaker and refreshments, will follow in the
auditorium.
